Provisional Tax Payments due 28 August 2021

NEWSLETTERS

Hi Everyone,

We hope you are keeping safe and well.

For a lot of you there was a provisional tax payment due on the 28th August 2021 but due to it falling on a Saturday the final day to pay is today, 30th August 2021.

If you had provisional tax due, you would have been notified by your account manager.

If you are not able to pay your provisional tax payment on the due date – don't panic! There are options:

· Setting up a payment plan with the IRD

 · Use TMNZ (Tax Management NZ) tax pooling to buy the tax and pay TMNZ at a later date when cashflow allows.

Tax pooling transactions ensure that tax liabilities are met on time at IRD, whilst aligning tax payments with cashflow. Pooling transactions are simple to set up.

TMNZ will take a small interest fee (less than IRD interest rate) and ensure payment into your IRD account on the date the tax was due. Doing it this way it means you will avoid unnecessary penalties and interest being charged to your account by IRD – even if you are one day late paying IRD it matters!

See the flyer here for more information.

If this is something you would like us to discuss or arrange, please contact your account manager by email or reply to this email so it gets to the right person.

Take care and keep safe
